Well, after what has seemingly been a successful Season 1 into our Restart of our F1 Leagues, we’re now looking towards Season 2 and where this will take us.
Season 2 Registrations are now LIVE, so if you’re wanting to continue racing, now is the time to register your confirmation and for those new drivers wanting to get involved, let us know!
After moving over to the Online in-game League format, it seems to have been a positive move.
We’ve not had the issues of invite after invite having to be sent out from an Admin perspective and driver’s and teams alike can see their progression throughout the season.
From a negative Admin perspective, it has its issues. Driver’s selecting the wrong Constructor can’t be changed before the start of the season, certain things need to go to a Vote (this will be reviewed as we may have the wrong settings set and unable to amend it) and the ability to remove non attending drivers to get new waiting drivers in.
Those are little bug bears, but overall, its been positive. We’ve had only one ticket throughout the season and that’s testament to the current group of drivers. Seasons past, we would have seen countless tickets from the same people.
Thanks to all who
Going into Season 2, we’re going to continue with the online in-game league format.
What we’ll be looking at doing however is possibly drip feeding the driver’s invites so that we get driver’s in the correct Constructors’ this time around.
We’ll also be looking at the settings for Admin control to take more of the onerous requests away to keep the Grid as full as possible.
We’re also considering a slightly later start of 9.05pm-9.10pm rather than the 9pm UK time as it is currently. This is to facilitate our driver’s enjoy more of their gaming time elsewhere whilst being able to continue racing with us.
The forums are still going to be a feature but in a much reduced format.
We wanted us to be a community, but the simple fact is that sometimes we were dealing with people’s social inabilities, their insecurities and at times wanted us to deal with simply put, petty or immature or irrelevant things.
We can’t be arsed with this anymore and we want you to take control of things. If something isn’t right, correct it failing that and only then, report it and then we’ll look at it.
Failing that, we’re not all snowflakes. If you can give it, you should also be able to take it.
